چکیده
The tribological behavior of Ni-based WC-Co coatings is analyzed. were deposited on gray cast iron substrates in a spray and fuse process using SuperJet Eutalloy deposition equipment, varying the oxygen flow conditions flame. crystallographic structure was characterized via X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique. microhardness measured surface cross sections by means Knoop tester. topography morphological characteristics tribo-surfaces examined scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confocal microscopy, while chemical composition energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). cohesion-adhesion scratch test, coatings. Furthermore, two wear tests carried out, pin-on-disk method under ASTM G99 standard an G65 sand/rubber wheel abrasion test. showed close relationship to porosity metal matrix; since then, abrasive high related with lower hardness coatings; likewise, low wear.

Tribological behavior of sputter-deposited MoSX/Ni coatings
AbstractSputtered MoS2 coatings have been mostly used as a solid lubricant. In this investigation, MoSx/Ni composite coatings with Ni contents varying from 0 to 22 % were deposited onto steel substrate using a DC magnetron sputter process. The MoS2/Ni ratio in the coatings was controlled by sputtering the composite targets. The composition, microstructure, and mechanical properties of the...
متن کاملTribological Behavior of WC-Co/NiCrAlY Coatings on Ti-6Al-4V
Ti6Al4V alloys are widely used in chemical plants, automobile, aerospace industries and medical applications (bone, dental) because of its high specific strength. But, it has poor wear resistance. In the present investigation, duplex coatings were employed to enhance the mechanical and tribological properties. WC-Co Ceramic coatings were deposited on Ti6Al4V substrate with different thicknesses...

Solution Precursor Plasma Spray (SPPS) technique is an emergent technique which offers significant performance advantages with various functional coatings like YSZ, ZnFe2O4, LSM, metal-doped ZnO, etc. Apart from the above capabilities, efforts towards development of an innovative hybrid approach through simultaneous deposition of powder and solution resulted in coatings with unique microstructu...
متن کاملModeling and control of HVOF thermal spray processing of WC–Co coatings
This work focuses on the modeling and feedback control of the high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) thermal spray processing of WC–Co coatings. A first-principles-based process model is proposed to explore the fluid dynamics and particle inflight behavior in the HVOF flow field. Rule-based stochastic simulation, which encapsulates the main features involved in the deposition process, is used to capt...
متن کاملStudying the Effect of the Concentration of PTFE Nanoparticles on the Tribological Behavior of Ni-P-PTFE Composite Coatings
In the past 30 years, electroless nickel (EN) plating has grown to such proportions that these coatings and their applications are now found underground, in outer space, and in a myriad of areas in between. Moreover, in order to further improve the mechanical and tribological properties of the nickel-phosphorous (Ni-P) coatings, Ni-P/PTFE composite coatings can be obtained, which provides even ...
